Have a bit of history with your hotel?

A quick trip to DC for a meeting turned into a wonderful history lesson. A short train ride from Richmond and I remember what it is that I love about visiting the Nation's Capital. There is so much to see and do and learn - great for kids of all ages, as they say. They say a lot of other things about Washington, but not here. I stayed at the Willard Intercontinental which has all the elements you need for a perfect stay: location, beautiful public areas, wonderful service, lovely accommodations, divine restaurants and a historic presence that is hard to beat. Did I mention location? The Willard is close to so much of what Washington is all about. You will find yourself a short walk from The Smithsonian, White House, restaurants, shopping and the Metro which can take you all over the city. Or stay in and enjoy the fine dining and the Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa. Contact me for booking information and I will tell you how I can include breakfast, a $100 additional food and beverage credit, a possible room upgrade compliments of Virtuoso, and even a $100 spa credit!

WOW ME!

I am just back from the Brownell Travel annual meeting in Atlanta and what a fabulous weekend.  This year's theme, "The Alist", had us experience the luxury, concierge treatment that our clients have come to expect when they book their travel with us.  But aside from the gala events, stretch limos, and staying at the elegant Ritz Carlton Buckhead, we worked on learning more about the many vendors, suppliers, and travel wholesalers who can enhance our travelers' experiences even more than ever.  We were able to meet with almost 60 representatives (including company VP's and CEO's) from as far away as England, Spain, Australia, Italy and Turkey.  We had one-on-one learning experiences and made those special contacts that enable us to add special touches to every trip we plan for our clients.  I can't wait to use some of my new friendships and contacts to WOW YOU!

Curiosity abounds

Humans are not the only curious creatures, but the desire to see and learn and experience is a common denominator when it comes to determining the reasons why we leave the safety and comfort of our own homes and culture to explore other lands.
